International Trade & Smart Pro Consulting (2015 – 2025)

Since 2015, Mohamed Ben Saïd has been leading two complementary activities:
  • The development of international trade for Tunisian dates, and
  • The management of Smart Pro Consulting, a consulting firm specialized in industrial performance and plant management in the agri-food sector.

International Trade

Mohamed Ben Saïd has built a strong export network covering European, American, Asian, African, and Indian markets.
He successfully adapted product quality and specifications — including conventional, organic, natural, packaged, and processed products — to meet the diverse requirements of each market.

He has also developed strong partnerships with farmers in southern Tunisia, establishing production and packaging centers that comply with organic standards and international traceability systems.
His approach is based on coordination across production, quality, logistics, and R&D, ensuring a fully integrated value chain.

Smart Pro Consulting

In parallel, Mohamed Ben Saïd founded Smart Pro Consulting, a specialized consulting firm dedicated to industrial optimization, process improvement, and operational excellence — particularly in the date processing industry.

The firm supports Tunisian and international companies in:

  • Structuring and optimizing their production systems,
  • Improving industrial and logistical flows,
  • Implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement programs,
  • And mechanizing packaging and processing lines according to global standards.

Thanks to this dual experience, Mohamed Ben Saïd has become a key figure in the modernization of Tunisia’s date industry, combining strategic vision with industrial expertise.

Director of Operations – Boujbel VACPA

Before this dual activity, Mohamed Ben Saïd served as Director of Operations at Boujbel VACPA, the world’s leading exporter of Deglet Nour dates.

He supervised more than 2,800 employees across multiple production sites, ensuring harmonization between production, quality, logistics, maintenance, and packaging processes.

Under his leadership, Boujbel VACPA achieved significant industrial progress, including:

  • The integration of the Sage X3 ERP system to ensure full traceability,
  • The continuous improvement of industrial and logistics performance,
  • And the National Quality Award recognition.

His strong operational leadership reinforced Boujbel VACPA’s position as a global benchmark in premium Tunisian dates.

Industrial Unit Director – Faurecia

Previously, Mohamed Ben Saïd worked as an Industrial Unit Director at Faurecia, a global leader in the automotive industry.
This experience allowed him to develop advanced expertise in Lean Manufacturing, industrial performance management, and cross-functional team leadership within a highly demanding international environment.

Production Director – Sagemcom

He began his career at Sagemcom, a French high-tech company specializing in telecommunications and electronics.
From 2002 to 2010, he held the position of Production Director, managing over 5,000 employees and leading complex industrial projects.

This foundational experience gave him a strong culture of quality, innovation, and operational discipline, which continues to guide his professional approach today.
